Play to Thrive
Pediatric Occupational Therapy
About
At Play to Thrive, we believe every child has unique strengths, interests, and ways of learning — and that occupational therapy should meet them there. We provide compassionate, individualized OT that helps children build skills, confidence, and independence through the activities that matter most to them.
We support children with diverse developmental profiles, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, learning disabilities, and other developmental needs. Through play, we make therapy engaging and meaningful, incorporating each child's abilities, interests, and sensory preferences to help them thrive at home, school, and in their community.

Our Approach
Our sessions are child-centred, evidence-informed, and play-based, tailored to each child's goals across areas like self-regulation, fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, self-care, feeding, and social participation.
Children learn best when they feel connected, understood, and motivated to engage — so therapy here is never one-size-fits-all. We adapt our approach as each child grows, celebrate progress along the way, and create opportunities to build confidence, independence, and self-advocacy.
Family partnership is central to how we work. We collaborate closely with parents and caregivers on practical strategies that carry over across home, school, and community environments.
What sets Play to Thrive apart is our commitment to seeing the whole child — not just the therapy goals. We take the time to understand each child's personality, communication style, and unique way of experiencing the world, creating a welcoming, neuroaffirming space where they feel empowered to explore, take risks, and grow in ways that honour who they are.
